Facebook launches Live-Streaming feature, but only for Celebrities

After famous mobile live streaming apps like Periscope and Meerkat, Facebook also has introduced a feature Live which allow celebrities to make real-time broadcasts. However, as of now this feature is only available to famous celebrities with a verified page.

Facebook announced this feature on Wednesday, providing Celebrities a more efficient way to interact with fans in Real-Time.

Famous actor Dwayne Johnson(The Rock) and famoust Tennis player Serena williams posted their Streams on wednesday.

Celebrities can start a Live broadcast that is posted to the News Feed, see comments, and can make the recording permanently available for viewing.

When asked why celebrities should use Facebook Live instead of Periscope or Meerkat?? Live product manager Vadim Lavrusik told that "Public figures already have fans on Facebook that they share to every single day." They could see a wider audience on Facebook as compared to other platforms.
